The Watership Down Stud Sales Race 2008
The Watership Down Stud Sales Race is now firmly established in the Annual Flat Race Programme and is run in conjunction with the Thoroughbred Breeders Association.
In 2007 the race was won by Lady Rangali (IRE) which was
trained by Mrs A. Duffield and ridden by Royston Ffrench.
The race is a valuable £250,000 two-year-old fillies contest and is open only to fillies sold under the hammer at specified yearling sales in the United Kingdom. The race is run over 6½ furlongs and is designed to give a boost to the market in Britain for yearling fillies. Consignors at British sales are able to nominate their fillies for the race before they go through the ring.
This years race will take place at Ascot, Friday
26th September 2008.
